putting it into the “i give up” list so that i can fit other short term goals in there. but one day, in about 5 years, i will achieve this.
How I did it: I bought tickets for a festival where he was playing, and stood in the queue two hours before he came on to get a good spot up front. In the end I left after 30minutes. The guy just stood there, way back on the stage (couldnt see him that well) and just mumbled into the microphone. He hardly didnt move at all and as far as i remember he didnt say a word either, well ok maybe a couple, but not worth mentioning. I had really been looking for… Read how I did it…

this might sound silly but the thing i want to do most in my life is to go see bob dylan live. i would hate to say that i lived at the same time as him yet never got the oppertunity to see him!

He’s a legendary musician, why would I not want to see him in concert?
I saw Bob Dylan live at Austin City Limits Fest. in September ‘07. I sat in front of that stage for 8 hours in 95-degree heat without eating or using the port-a-crap. Somebody gave me a box of raisins to save my life. ANYWAY it was amazing to see him live. HOWEVER: If you don’t already know his music, it could be hard to pick out the songs. He doesn’t sound like he used to, but he’s always going to be The Man.
once in birmingham, al in 2006 and once in georgia in 2007 on my 25th bday, it was fun, oh the year before on my bday i saw tom petty!!
Saw him a few years ago and hear he has a super band this year, and that his voice is better, and that he is playing more guitar. I saw Lucinda Williams, Iris Dement, and Norah Jones with my daughter over the last year or so.
His voice isn’t quite the same anymore to say the least, but it’s bloody Bob Dylan!
obviously he’s older and his voice is pretty much shot. he played a great mix of old and new, but he changes up the compositions of them so it takes a little while to figure out what he’s playing. it was still a great show, excellent music, killer harmonica solos!!!!
In all fairness, I didnt know all the songs. And I was as far away as possible. But really, it wasnt lively at all, and he was wearing a huge hat so I couldnt see the living ledgend. Everyone else seemed to like it though.
