We explored a lot of Florida. We took numerous trips to parks on the West coast and a lot of central Florida.
On one of those trips we discovered Rainbow Springs State Park, which I think is my favourite so far. 3 years ago

Glad to be done with this one. 2008 started out ok but has already had some bumps in the road already. I’m doing my best to keep a positive attitude and am hopeful that it will be a good year as well. 3 years ago

NikitaYear in review part 3

I really want to close this one out so I’ll finish it up…
31. My health is good and no major concerns
32. I reconnected with some extended family members I hadn’t seen in a while and have been spending more time with them.
33. We had a roof over our heads and food on the table.
34. I have a job even though I wish I had a different one I still have one and I can still pay my bills.
35. I’m learning to let go of the things I cannot change.
36. I discovered a few new great bands last year – one the The Swell Season (also of the Frames) through the movie Once (saw the movie on 12/28). Loved the movie and the music. Totally recommend it to anyone. Hopefully I’ll be able to get tickets for the Swell Season tomorrow I missed out on the alloted number of tickets during their presale here – bummer…
37. Spent some quality time with C’s mom. She really has filled a void that my own mom left when she walked out when I was in Jr. High. She is a great woman and I truly enjoy spending time with her.
38. Went on some great adventures with my friend J who is a photo bug just like me. We already started off 2008 with a bang because she went with me to the wedding show and has gone dress shopping with me and took oodles of photos for my scrapbooks.
39. Started caring less about what people think.
40. Discovered new crafts (soldered jewelry). I have made pendants and ornaments so far.
41. I didn’t go overboard at Christmas and stayed within my budget.
42. Not only did we get engaged in 2007 but my SO cousin got engaged so there are 2 weddings coming up. What makes it even funnier is we got engaged on the same day and didn’t even know it until later. :o)
43. We closed out 2007 with an engagement party for the 2 happy couples. 3 years ago

31. Had a great christmas.
32. Met the boy’s parents, and they loved me.
33. Met my adorable future nephew (I’m going to be an aunt after I get married???)
34. Found out that once I got my license, I’d have a car thanks to my generous grandfather.
35. School expanded a lot of my horizons, and encouraged me to think outside the box.
36. I had to start planning for when I’d have to help support myself instead of falling back on my parents for support.
37. Became a lot more creative over the fall.
38. Really tried to learn more to deserve the amazing guitar that I have.
39. Beat Zelda: Windwaker.
40. Started dressing the way that I wanted to, and was proud of the way I looked.

abbeynormalNot really DONE but DONE

Even though it’s almost March now, I still haven’t added anything to this goal… no entries… no list of goodness.

2007 was pretty great in hindsight. During the year I felt at times it was the hardest, most draining, most humbling, most emotional year EVER… And I’m not giving up this goal but perhaps I’ll just change it a bit and move into 2008 all fresh-like.

Maybe I’ll start a list of 43 reasons why 2008 is going to kick ass. 3 years ago

funniculeeI'm giving up and I don't feel bad about it.

Not that 2007 was a bad year, far from it. I could probably come up with more stuff for this list if I really tried. But I’ve put off working on this goal long enough that I’m DONE with reflecting on 2007…

Wooo! 2008!!! 3 years ago

Kika#41 - The true friends and the new friends

I used to be always more sociable and talkative. 2007 was a year I prefered to have just few and good friends beside me. I have been disapointted with a lot of people I though were my friends. Sometimes I can believe how the people can be so evil and fake for years and years. The good side was discovered this by the true friends.
For all these things, I think it’s too important say that two new ans special people appeared in my life and I’m so happy for this. I really think they came to stay in my life. Friendship is always a thing to be celebrated :)

#42 – My health
I really took care of myself and still doing it. I did the checkup with a lot of doctors, gave a lot of blood to made all the exams they asked me. I did all my dental work and tryed braces (and it’s a future plan now). I tryed the eye surgery too, but I discovered I have some eye problems and I can do it (my doctors said to be back there in 10 years and see with the technology will help me). I pay more attention in what I eat. I have to improve in my skin cares and depilate, I know. I’m always forgeting to use the sunblock. But I took off my make up before bed religiously and I drink much more water and eat much more fibers than ever. I learned to sleep with the tv turned off and me dreams are so much better.

#43 – All the things I learned and all the great moments I lived
Because it’s for all these things the life is worth to be lived! :) 4 years ago

Kika#39 - 43things.com

I’m here for a long time but just in 2007 I used this more. I always liked to do lists, but here it seems more exciting. I like to talk about my goals, but sometimes I think I talk with the wrong people or say more than I should. Sometimes the people think I’m a little crazy for do lists all the time, to everything, but this is the way I can get organized. Here I can share my thoughts, be encouraged and see that other many people are trying the same things.
Thanks, guys, for everything. A special kiss to my great subscribers! :D

#40 – 101 things in 1001 days Project
Yeah, another list project. I think it is better to guide me in the not-imediate plans and professional things than the 43things. Here I want to complete the goals soon and there I have my notes only to myself and see just in the weekends. Here I prefer to put my funny things and there the serious ones… 4 years ago

Kika#38 - The best New Year's Eve ever

I’ve already talked about the New Year’s Eve here, but it’s sure I have to do it again in the “best moments of 2007” list. The confused preparation meetings, the best dinner, the games, funny people around, old friends, new friends, the year turn at the beach, the great party, the breakfast in the morning (well, it was already in 2008 :P). If I finish all the year with this “golden key”, it would be so nice :D 4 years ago

AnerysaGlad I did it

I came up with a pretty long list. I’m not counting the items because the number really doesn’t matter. But I think that this is an important thing to do. I’ve done it two years in a row now, and I intend to continue the habit. Highly recommended! 4 years ago

Kika#37 - Praia do Forte (dec)

I love to spend the day there. It’s my favorite beach in the world. The sea there is great, with natural pools and small fishes in your legs. I always visit the turtles in the Tamar Project, have lunch at the beach and get a fruit ice cream after. I recommend this beach to everyone. If there are a lot of foreign people there, I musn’t be wrong.
I’m planning to go again therem this time with my brothers. The last time I went there with them, they were a such little children. I hope I can do this in carnival holiday or in the Easter. 4 years ago

Kika#35 - Talita again in my city (dec)

And now it was for ten days :D We really enjoyed like I imagined and I showed almost everything I’d like to her (I didn’t show everything coz she has a reason to come back again :D). It was the third time she came but the first the sun appeared too. Many days at the beach, some parties, bar, exotic foods and funny friends to visit.

#36 – My brothers’ birthday at the beach (dec)
I spent all the day with them, my father and Talita. We had a big lunch at the beach and enjoyed the day so much :) Now I have to think about a big surprise for their 15th birthday this year. 4 years ago

Kika#34 - Sophia (dec)

My new favorite restaurant, in my favorite avenue in town (and it’s my favorite since I was in high school, not because my boyfriend lives there :P). We’ve been there three times and I loved all the food always. I think it’s impossible something be less then wonderful there! The problem is I’m always broken and can go there more often. 4 years ago

Kika#33 - Pato Fu's concert (nov)

One of my favorite bands in the world. One of the few oportunities of great concerts in town. I recommend to everyone download their songs on the net or buy their cd. 4 years ago

Kika#28 - The huge ice cream (ago)

Yeah, it was a silly dream but it was a sucess here in 43things .com :D I believe a lot of subscribers started to talk to me because of this ice cream :D

#29 – Independent Day parade (sep)
Can you believe it was my first time in the parade? Well, my mother took me there when I was a little child but I don’t remember. I never went coz I though it’d be a boring thing to watch, but I was wrong. My boyfriend lives in the street the parade happens and I woke up with the sounds outside. I had breakfast watching everything in the window. Next year, I have to go watch in the street with my brothers and my little cousin :D I loved!

#30 – My brothers’ play (nov)
Well, they didn’t act, they are so shy to it. But they wrote a great play, adapting “Alice in the Wonderland” to the recent days. It was great, everybody at their school loved and it was showed in a big theater. Sure I was there to watch :D

#31 – Party before the party
We make the tradition to meet before the “Festa Nave” (Spaceship Party, our favorite in town), to drink, eat and talk a lot about everything new in the past days. But this year it became stronger. It became a famouss thing and everybody (even people we don’t know) asks to join our party before the party. Well, it’s a thing just to the closest friends and the friends of friends. This exclusive thing make the misterious :P

#32 – My dental work done (nov)
It was painful and made spend a lot of my time. But it was so worth. I last a lot of time to start and know I miss the time I went there to take care of myself (it makes me have a good feeling). Ok, I gave the braces idea up, but I promiss in april I’ll be there to the review. My dentist will be so pride when she sees I get used to floss :D 4 years ago

Kika#26 - Industrial Automation course

I started 2007 thinking I have failed on the test. But, in the middle of the year, they called me telling someone gave up to study there and I took the place.
It’s a federal school, so it’s free. Ok, I’m already at college and the normal thing is do this course before college and don’t do. But I had nothing to loose (just my free afternoons) and it’ll end before I graduate. It’ll probably help me a lot to find a better job. So I still going on there until I get something in my area or until finish and the things will be great :D
Ok, in the beginning I’m not so motivated coz the classes are about things I already know. But the classamates are great and I think this semester will be so much better.

#27 – My “new” bedroom (ago)
I finally painted my bedroom and I still organize it. I can believe I acumulated so many unnecessary things there. But now it is exactly how I imagined. To be perfect, I’d like to put something great at the walls (any suggestions?) and finish to organize all those papers… 4 years ago

blueskies113. Mark

Although not much is happening btwn us right now, last year is when he asked for my screen name, we chatted almost everyday for hours, and hung out again twice when he came to town. =] I hope we can hangout again in the future, but even if we dont, it was good times. 4 years ago

blueskies112. Taste of independence

I got to realize and experience what it’s like to live in the semi-real world. I moved out, lived w/ a friend, and got a part time job. From that, I learned – i do NOT want to live in a studio ever, bonded closer w/ chelle, money doesn’t grow on trees, and i can improve myself to prepare for next time (perfectionism, assertiveness, time management, stress management). 4 years ago
