Get my hair cut short

I got it cut about a year ago, and have been getting it trimmed.

I think I shouldn’t go to salons anymore, they’re expensive and weird.

But I am thinking of going shorter, maybe like grandma-style (for lack of a better description).

I have curly hair, I wonder if I just got it cut about equal length all over my head (a few inches?), would that work? or small layers. Hmmm…

So my hair is short. And it’s pretty cute: asymmetrical short cut. I do like this, and it’s pretty new, but I’m jonesing for something else. I really want to try something outrageous and different. I am really inspired by my bud, Melanie, who has short hair (used to be a mohawk) and she is gorgeous! She is still feminine with short hair, so I’m trying to do the same thing, I guess. I have deep-seated issues that should probably be dealt with by a professional. Whatev.

Well, my boyfriends sis is chopping my hair off on Sunday, so excited! It’s not especially long now, it’s that annoying inbetween stage! I’ve had short hair before, but never styled so I’m anticipating my noo hair!

Once I had short hair, I realised it added years to me and looking in the mirror I felt older than my mum. Now its long and blonde again, I don’t feel I have to act older than my age.

I’m not really used to caring about my appearance much, but I loooove my new hair, and I feel waaay more confident about myself now.

So i’ve always wanted to try out short hair but never had the guts.. what a better time to try then when i met Nick Arrojo on a plane and got to get my hair cut by him while he taught a class! I love it when i style it but hate it when i wake up in the morning.. lol. I can’t just throw it back in a ponytail anymore. Its great for the summer though!

Just did it the other day, and its so much easier to care for now! I’ve got in a choppy a-line bob, landing just at my jaw line, and its got a lot of layers so it never looks the same way twice. So nice.

I have been given so many compliments, whether its down, or up in a fauxhawk :]

If you had asked me about 7 years ago if I thought cutting my hair short was a good idea, I would have said, “Hell no.” I had a boy cut in 8th grade, grew it out to my bum, layered it, then cut it very short the other day and I am pretty happy with it.

I did it in one quick snip, and it turned out so nicely. I don’t pay people to cut my hair, I always do it myself, ha. So now, seven years from the first time I cut it short, I like having short hair. Of course I will grow it out long again though…
