send out 25 books on bookmooch

The bookmooch thing was fun for awhile – but not a good balance for me. My give-to-receive ratio was very one-sided; the books in my inventory got mooched but the books I wanted weren’t available. One request I made was accepted but the book was never sent. Some books I sent overseas took months to be acknowledged received. The concept is very fun – but for me it was a lot of energy and postage for a small handful of nice transactions. I’d rather spend my time and money on something else.

I put 4 more books into my inventory and they all got mooched within a day. They are ready to mail – will send them Tuesday.

1 to Germany, 2 to the UK and one to AR. Checked out BookCrossing – that looks like a nice way to share books as well.

1 to Missouri and 2 to London! I mooched my first book as well: “Nobody Nowhere” the autobiography of Donna Williams.

from a wonderful string begun by Tarrador who forwarded a copy of “Three Cups of Tea” to another 43T-er. Energy mentioned bookmooch and I checked it out and joined! I listed 5 books to give away and got a mooch request within 10 minutes! I really like the idea of sending a book to someone who wants to read it, is already (most likely) an avid reader and will appreciate the book – and it keeps my relationship with books healthy!
