When I was waiting tables, we could buy our own button down shirts and have the coffee house logo printed on it. I went to St. Vincent de Paul and bought about a dozen for ten cents each…seriously! And having the logo printed on them was only fifty cents.
Good grief, these prices make me realize how long ago it was. Sigh.

JulieJordanScott is continually setting odd goals that need translation for many people
come from “charity shops”... or the like.
My kids tease me unceasingly about my infamous fifty cent ski sweater that I bought at a church rummage sale. I have been wearing that thing for ten years and it is finally coming frayed and I might, just MIGHT have to make it into something else because I won’t positively WON’T toss it.
I think it will make a lovely pillow. LOL.

okay, not really vintage, it’s the late 1990’s, but …
being a fancier of neckwear I could not resist picking up this Claiborne tie and with it begins a whole new adventure for me !

this is something I have not ever done and I really think it is something I could actually find to be quite fulfilling
this goal may hang around on my list for a while, but it will serve as a reminder of something that is good for others, good for the planet, and may even be stylish for me !

I bought 2 books from a charity shop today. But the goal of buying at least one item of clothing that I wouldn’t mind wearing in public is going to have to wait for another day.
Maybe in January; people have said that’s one of the best times to trawl the charity shops for clothing.

because most charity shops stock four or five times more women’s clothes than men’s.
