Year End was May 31st. I think I still have data from March, April & May to enter. Sigh…
I don’t know if I’ll get to it before the end of July. Thankfully the accountant doesn’t usually show up until October or November.
Still, I’m disappointed. I so wanted to stay on top of this. 4 years ago

I can’t seem to get beyond being three months behind, but at least I’m keeping up being ONLY three months behind.
Mandala’s year end is May 31 so it is looking less and less like I’ll be caught up entirely by then, but lucky for me, our accountant is as delinquent as I am – he rarely shows up before Oct/Nov! hahaha
I admit, I wasn’t very dedicated this week. I could have stayed longer and done more. Next week, for sure. 5 years ago

I had to plug $5.34 – only about the fourth or fifth time I’ve ever allowed myself to give up hunting for that last lost penny or nickel, and by far the largest amount I have ever plugged. But, it’s another month down, so I’ll take it as an accomplishment.

and December’s invoices are entered.
I’m now optimistic that I’ll be entirely caught up by Y/E (May 31).

Entries are inputted, but … sniff, sniff… it didn’t balance, and I didn’t have time to stay and begin the error hunt. Sigh…
Next week will make a push to finish up 2007. 5 years ago

Year end is May 31st. I think I’m up to entering September’s or October’s data… the weeks are just flying by so quickly right now, I can’t seem to get ahead!
Each month takes me about three hours to enter, reconcile and balance. Assuming I have actually finished September’s entries, I have only 15 hours of work to catch up to now.
“Only” – yeah, right – because 15-hours’s grow on trees!5 years ago

Finally found the errors and balanced June’s entries, so it’s on to July.
As tedious as this work can be sometimes, it feels good to have started catching up again. 5 years ago

I started this week on June’s books. Despite being rusty from having had such an extended hiatus from this work, I entered all the data in just under three hours. Unfortunately, I didn’t balance in one account, so I have to hunt down the error next week. Shoot – I really wanted to knock off one month’s work each week, but oh well. Some progress is better than no progress :o) 5 years ago

We keep the books here by way of acceptable but totally antiquated methods (pen and paper, if you can believe it!). In fact, we only enter all the financial data into Simply Accounting for our (beloved) accountant, to make his job easier. With that as my excuse, I tend to let the job slide far longer than I should do. I haven’t made an entry since this past May 31 – doh! Since the NEXT year end will undoubtedly arrive much sooner than I count on, I’d better get my ass in gear and start getting June through September/October entered. 5 years ago
