Working out, which for me is running on the tread mill and lifting weights, is a huge positive influence in my life. I can go for a while and do well with my 4 days a week for a few weeks, but then I always slack off and don’t do anything for a while. Then, weeks or months later, I start over again. I would like for the 4 days a week exercising be a permanent fixture in my life.

it’s good for your body, mind and spirit! i started working out about 6 months ago and i’ve lost 35 pounds and this past weekend i hiked avalanche peak with my husband! 427 breath stealing steps up to the top for one amazing breath taking view! not to mention a serene hike through the forest down. it was the best 2 hours of peace i’d had in a long time. i never could have done that before i started working out! DO IT!
I used to do that ALL THE TIME. My job has recently become an obstacle but I still try to get 2-3 days in. However, when I first started working out that much I got burnt out. So eat healthy, work out 4 days, but take a day to just indulge. Now I don’t mean eat an entire chocolate cheesecake but just eat at (hmmm…) Chik-fil-a or even Taco Bell! But overall if you feel overwhelmed take it easy. Don’t push yourself harder. Because you want to do it in the longterm not just a few times and a year of recovery. But HAVE FUN!
I finally made myself start working out again. I started yoga/cardio strength conditioning and I’ve accomplished 2 days in a row so far. I have a long way to go but I’m motivated!
