How I did it: I walked into a wonderfully priced rental from a woman who couldn't use her timeshare. It was the month of my birthday. No one else could or would go, so I grabbed it and found affordable tickets took off! Lessons & tips: Be open to new things. Spend time exploring, don't just shop and do touristy things. The people, generally are very nice Resources: I met a woman on the bus to downtown, who was also traveling alone, and she spent my birthday with me and we hung out for the last two days of her trip. in a couple weeks. I have a chance to go down and help deliver back packs to hundreds of kids in school assemblies. If someone else will ride down with me, I’m going. I may even go if no one else does.
If I get a job here soon, I’ll just fly. Thinking this year is the year to do it. I’ve been talking about it for 2 years for crying out loud.

BUT… good news, my mom is in Mexico right now and she LOVES it. She couldn’t bring my bf and I cause it’s a 23+ resort. However, they are changing it to a family resort in May so my mom has promised to take us both in October, which will be perfect because it will be our 1 year. YAYYY!
