One of these days…
the most completely random goal I will ever set forth to achieve. Not only am I a scrawny little white girl, but I have no rhythm, but for some reason it’s something I’ve ALWAYS wanted to do. Hopefully it will make me feel more outgoing and break out of the shell of what people expect of me. Quite frankly, I’m definite my friends will laugh at me, but I’ve gotten to the point that I don’t care. And who knows, maybe I actually don’t have 2 left feet.
“Daaaaymn, white girl’s got rhythm!”

I’ve been wanting to do this for some time. I am going to try it out on Tues. I hope I don’t fall on my face or can’t groove to it. We shall see. Deep breaths.
Sohoyini “One Heart” – Traditional West African Dance
Tues. 7:30-9:00 pm
Velocity Dance Center Studio 3 (Third Floor)
915 East Pine Street
Worth doing!
A woman offers african dance classes at my university and I signed in about two years ago. All of my friends laughed about me, but I didn’t care. It was absolutely great and we had much fun! It’s just a pity that at the moment, I don’t have any more time for african dance.
Worth doing!
An African Dance instructor came to my ballet class one time and did a whole session with us. It was AWESOME! It was very unifying and it forced me to really open myself to movement. It definitely helped me with my confidence in ballet.

i’m in a position where i’ll almost have to start dancing, so hopefully i’ll be able to get this one off the list over the next few months…
this class keeps getting cancelled or moved. It is in a new location this week so I don’t know if I’ll be able to attend or not.
i ‘ve been sick and the class was cancelled twice. i’ll need to come back to this goal later
