after i work out regularly and eat healthier this will come naturally (ha!) but for now i’m giving up. i can’t actively work towards all these goals at once and this one is too similar to some of my others so this is a “i give up”

i worked out and had some pretzels and a banana and grapes after – i’m going to fold this into “eat healthy” along with “stop eating junk food” at the end of the month if i get a handle on them both. had too many pretzels

This is still a struggle. Hopefully I’ll feel different at the end of the month.

It’s 11:47 and I’m starving!

my allowance before was yogurt and fruit and pretzels on work out days. yogurt and fruit on non-work out days. today i ate 4 yogurts after 10 and 1/4 banana. i didn’t think i was capable of that. at least i stayed within the restricted food group – i just didn’t put any limits because i never thought i’d go overboard with yogurt and fruit.
i guess my new limit is 2 yogurts after 10 (still more than i should but i want to really create increments that i can meet) and 1 serving fruit. on workout days, i can have one of those small bag of pretzels they have at work. i should probably buy the plain greek yogurt instead of the ones with fruit so i won’t overeat them. i just recently discovered greek yogurt and can’t believe how much better they are than regular yogurt.
ok so i’ll try to stay within this refined goal for the next few days and then come back and refine it some more.

fruit, yogurt and pretzels. those are the 3 things i can eat after 10. especially on work out days. but maybe not as many pretzels as i ate tonight. i’m still working this one out. All i know is going cold turkey always leads to failure with this goal.

Initially i won’t eat past 10 except a yogurt or fruit. This doesn’t seem like much of a compromise to normal eaters but around 10 i turn into a werepig and must consume more than half my day’s calories. As I’m so far from knowing how to a achieve this I have to start with a tiny compromise and hopefully build from there. I’m starting to go to the gym a couple of times a week so i have to allow myself something to eat after the workout so yogurt or fruit should be fine. i’m hungry already.

I want to stop eating at nights. Its getting ridiculous. I need to eat more through the day and less at night.

I CAN DO THIS
MY problem is eating a lot before bed. I know I do this because I am lonely/bored. I’m know I’m not hungry before bed so the reason is emotional. The problem I have with it is that I don’t sleep well, I can’t wake up in the morning, and I feel like I have a food hang over in the morning. Yuck. I eat well during the day. I keep reading that to do this you just have to change your habit, like quitting smoking. Once you get used to not eating at night you won’t want to do it anymore. I have done this before. So I committing to the following for the next 10 days:
1. Eat a good dinner with lots of fiber and protein.
2. Keep myself busy until my bedtime of about 930 or 10pm
3. Then drink some Chamomile or soothing tea (I like this Nighty Night tea by Traditional Medicinals, it helps you sleep), turn out the light, and go to sleep
4. If I still can’t sleep after drinking the tea, put in CREST WHITE STRIPS. This is a great tip I heard of, how can you eat when you have white strips in your mouth?!

I told myself that this summer i would get healthy, eat better, and exercise. well, i’ve made some steps to exercise, and i do eat better during the day…but once it hits nighttime i have a bottomless pit and NOTHING satisfies me…so waht do i do? eat everythingg! i have learned how to eat so healthy during the day and i am getting so depressed because i keep gaining weight and i know its because i continue to eat crap late at night. i know i cant blame it on my boyfriend, but his schedule makes it difficult b/c he doesnt get home from work until between 11 and midnight…sometimes even later on the weekends. he doesnt get to eat much during the day so he snacks a lot when he comes home, so of course i join in! i’ve been trying to drink things that are filling but not bad, like water, milk, or hot tea. if im going to treat myself to a snack i try to make it healthy like a piece of fruit or some yogurt, but its still hard because once i start eating something im gonna want something else. staying up late definitely adds to the bad habit because me and my bf are on opposite schedules so we tend to stay up late together since thats our only time. i also have a hard time cooking for myself, so the fact that our schedules are opposite and he’s not home to cook or eat with me results in me not really eating a substantial dinner, so i get hungrier much faster later on in the evening. im gonna try to just cut myself off past 8 or 9 and if i dont eat a substantial before then, then i missed my chance…lets see how that disciplining goes, hahaha.
