How I did it: I was getting a pedicure with my bridesmaids the day before my wedding and the nice Indian lady who was doing my toes noticed the tattoos on my feet and mentioned she did henna, so I got her to do both of my hands and forearms for my wedding and it was beautiful. Henna is so pretty. I’d love to have my hands hennaed. I can’t find a local henna artist though.
My friend does henna so I get to be used as her guinea pig… I am not complaining at all. I love getting henna done. She did this really nice Hindu god on my hand and everything. It is fun. NEVER EVER EVER GET BLACK HENNA DONE you could become very very ill, just stick to the natural henna, no dyes.
Being Indian its not that exotic too me, but its really fun none the less. The picture that goes with this is my First time with Henna (aka Mehndi in Hindi) on my hands in on my first trip to India. Its Arabic henna- Which I loved!!
I’ve done this myself and it was a royal PAIN. Blobby too.
This time around I’d like to have someone do it with the nice fine henna and have my hands absolutely COVERED in beautiful intricate designs!
