I don’t have to buy a new MP3 player.
I’m allowed to love my MP3 player again.

I’ve backed up all my music and other files from my player. There are a few files on there that have become corrupt, so they won’t erase. I don’t know how to get rid of ‘em, but at least I’ve got it to a point where I can hit some E-R-A-S-E button and not worry that I’ll lose forever something I love.

love and then hate 2 years ago

I spent a lot of time researching before I bought my mp3 player. I wanted it to be perfect. I wanted to love it.

And I did. Until the first time I couldn’t get it to do what I wanted. But I had a lot of patience and I was able to figure out what I needed to figure out using IAudio’s completely fucked up customer service.

Now I’m having another difficulty, and I don’t know if I have the patience to go through that again. The ‘voice record’ option is completely not working. Ugh. Voice recording is a big part of the reason I sought out an mp3 player.

So my plan is to erase everything from the player and hit the little pinhole button that gives my device severe amnesia and allows us to be friends again. I hope that’ll do the trick. Short of that, it’s ebay time. Then I’ll get myself a more standard model of mp3 player.

So here’s the plan:
1. back up my music on my external hard drive
2. erase mp3 completely
3. update firmware
4. try to voice record

Cross your fingers!
