My husband laughed his butt off to watch me run from ride to ride and show to show, racing the other three year olds.
I was like a kid in a candy store. This was nine years ago and I still remember how silly it was and how fun it was. We had a wonderful time.
I really recommend going, particularly if you have never gone before. We were married mid-March, so it was not hot in Florida, nor was it busy in Disneyworld.
It was incredible. We have talked about going again but haven’t made plans yet.
If you can go for your honeymoon, go. It was wonderful. Absolutely wonderful!

We were married in September so everything wasn’t all that expensive, since once school starts everything drops in price. We drove down from Canada – we took 3 days to drive down and 3 to drive back (checking out some other tourist attractions on the way down). We spent 2 days at DisneyWorld Magic Kingdom and then did some other Orlando stuff. Then drove over to Treasure Island and spent a night there and then drove to Daytona and spent a couple nights there. We had an awesome time!!! (and we go back every 5 years to celebrate (kids and all).

The shows were fabulous… you never ran out of stuff to do! Holding hands on the rides so romantic! Totally do it!

but EVERYBODY AND THEIR DOG goes to disneyworld for their honeymoon, including us! I was kinda disgusted by all the making out and groping that was going on in the lines around us by people wearing brand spanking new shiny wedding rings. Plus, our room was a disaster (we stayed at the Grand Floridian) (smelled awful) so we weren’t about to hole up in the room and get all romantic when simply being there made us both sick to our stomach. I guess since I’ve been to disneyworld before, my honeymoon wasn’t all that unique. It was the same place; I would have liked to go somewhere I’d never been before – somewhere where the room would have been nice to stay in and get all cozy and close. Oh well.

In retrospect, I was tired from all the wedding stuff. A more relaxing vacation would’ve suited me better. Disneyworld took too much energy, and it became one more thing I had to do instead of a good time just for the two of us.

I have issues with the Disney corporation, and can not in good conscience promote people going there. Had I known then what I do now, we would have went somewhere else.

It was awesome however, due to lack of sleep after the wedding, the first day at magic kingdom was tiring and we were actually a little grouchy but after that day like at epcot and MGM it was awesome!! SO my advice: Get plenty of sleep before you go to disneyworld or it will ruin you!!
