Just one more shift!
V. Happy girl.

Now if I could just get the car packed. Even happier girl would be sitting here procrastinating.
Worried about the drive though…

Only 2 shifts left! 18 months ago

Amazingly had a conversation with the Medical Director last night (He was the night doc)
The Pt satisfaction scores are really low at this hospital…and it isn’t because of wait times or anything…he has concluded that it is because the nurses are mean. And he’s right. They really are. i was mildly entertained to see the particularly mean one reading “Christian Parenting” the other night…I wonder if it will sink in…

Nice to have my own experiences validated.

2 shifts left!!! 2. I feel enthusiastic.

3 looong shifts left at the job. I think I can handle them. now If I could just get the place packed and clean. I seem to be hitting avoidance.

check this as “Done” while I feel decidedly “Meh” about going to work, I definitely do not dread it like I did in the recent past. I am also looking forward to a new contract…Hmmm.

been better. Oddly since I have been runnning. Running makes all things tolerable, I think.

But really I feel more comfortable there, and am feeling a bit more enthusiastic. not entirely enthusiastic about the whole Emergency nurse thing, but its such a part of my identity I couldn’t shed it right yet anyway.

Not a whole lotta enthusiasm 20 months ago

going on at the Mo.

But I only have 19 more shifts left. I am faxing a time sheet today, which always reminds me that Cash is on the way.
and and and…
M. is working tonight and that makes it more bearable.
and and and…
I get on well with Dr. C who is also working tonight.
And I know my assignment, which is going to be OK…
and its the last day for a little while.
Whoo Hooo.
what else can I say.

Ok So 20 months ago

I have no enthusiasm for this job. The Nurses are nuts. It’s a bit difficutl to explain this, but this all stems from one intubated patient who was not given appropriate sedation or restraints. Any other hospital I have worked at has wholly endorsed both sedation and restraint. Here they say, “Oh we just watch them, and if they pull the tube we reintubate.” Getting a tube pulled can seriously damage the vocal cords. and beign on a vent is a severly anxiety producing situation.
Grrr.
Now my only focus is to finish, somehow attempt to get a reco from one person (Still focusing on the fliratious male nurse) and get the heck outta dodge!

Work 20 months ago

Has been a lot better lately, either I am getting used to it, or my temper tantrum of people being so horrid to me seemed to change things. Unfortunately because i did point out to them that they were horribly overloading me, I probably won’t get the best reco. Ahhh, will wait until the male nurse who flirts with me is in charge and see if he can do it.
