live the life I have always dreamed of

1. Own some land near the woods on the side of a mountain that I’ve been eyeing for years.

2. Be independent enough to not having to answer to anyone for anything.

3. Work for myself, instead of “the man”.

4. Have and work a successful garden.

5. Have a landscape that is 98% self maintained either by automated equipment and/or plants that need little to no attention.

6. Build a self-sustaining environment with free solar, wind and thermal energies and gain independence from these corporate life sapping companies that overcharge for energy and utilities.

7. Buy or build vehicle(s) that aren’t so difficult to maintain and more enjoyable to work on.

8. Find the love of my life.

It’s been 10 months since I last wrote an entry under this goal, and I thought it’d be time to update my dreams, write down what I hope my dream-life to be like. Because how else would I know when I’ve reached this goal?

• a two-room apartment (with a balcony)
• getting a fresh start, starting my own life
• a steady job that pays well (this one I have already?)
• going out with friends, having get-togethers, keeping in touch with people more
• casual dating
• long hair (hey, not everything needs to be so profound!)
• being self-confident and content with the way I am
• being able to enjoy the everyday life more

...and that right about sums up the ‘perfect’ life for me at the moment. But as we all know, things change, that list will change but right now that’s how I’d want my life to be.

I don’t think achieving this goal is too far away, actually. If only I was a bit more independent, lived on my own and was able to completely control my own life, I could almost say I’ve completed this goal, as for now, at least. I have a wonderful job, a very appreciated one as well, I have money to buy clothes and other things for myself, I don’t need to depend on my mother so much anymore. I own so much stuff I should be grateful and not want to buy something new every time I’m out. My own place and a place to study, and my life would be almost everything I’ve always dreamed of. Kind of shocking to realise it, I’ve always thought I was miles away from this goal.
