So after three days I have read three books. I have finished Genesis, Exodus, and now Leviticus too. Genesis was good, but I’ll be honest when I say Exodus and Leviticus were a challenge to get through. Hopefully, I’ll be able to stick with the progress I have made and keep up a steady pace. Numbers, looks a little daunting but even though they aren’t that interesting they do give you some background of God’s law. Well Happy reading to you all!

I started reading a few chapters before bed each night… not studying it or anything, just reading. This way I’ll have an idea of what happens in each book of the bible and I will go back and study each book over time individually. I am about to start Isaiah tonight. The toughest part was getting through the first 5 books of the bible. With all the laws and descriptions of what each priestly robe and tabernacle item should look like, it was tough to get though. If you can make it past Numbers, you’re doing great!! Then it gets more interesting. I honestly think Genesis was the best read yet! It connected sooo many dots for me. And reading the Old Testament really helps you understand the New Testament more, because Paul and most of the disciples were Jewish and were raised according to the Law. So knowing what the Old Testament Law was like helps you better understand the parables and descriptions by Jesus and Paul. I highly recommend reading the whole bible either cover to cover or in chronological order.

I’ve been doing this for a few months but lately I’ve been really lazy about it, so I put it up here. I’m hoping to finish the bible by January. Though at this rate I’m going, who knows…

I’m only 20 chapters into Genesis—at list rate it’s take years for me to finish. I’m going to have to step it up a bit.

Biesha Is loving this nice weather!!!!
So I read the Bible, but I don’t do it because I feel I have to but because I want to. Every time it up nI fall more and more in Love with the God who created me and the Son of Man who gave His life for me. And I will continue to fall more and more in love with Him everyday of my life

I was raised in an Irish Roman Catholic family. I don’t think one of them has EVER read the whole bible. I do not consider myself Catholic anymore. There are just too many gaps in what I was taught. This religion was forces upon me as a child, and was not my own realization. Which is what I believe religion should be.
This has been a goal of mine for years. I plan on getting to it this year. But I’m not sure when I will start yet. I’m hoping that, if anything, it will help me understand my boyfriend’s faith more.

I tried doing this in the beginning of the year but that didn’t work out. But I realized I don’t need a new year to read the bible. =]
