Trashcan Fashionista is living it up!
I started doing this and it’s a good resume. I just need to make it stand out more. Jazz it up. Give it some pizazz! I need a good summary at the top :)

How to update my resume"Updating and rewriting my resume made me feel so much more confident in the skills I do have and more comfortable in applying for jobs."
How I did it: I read a great article about how to write a great resume and implemented some ideas I'd taken from it. I found a few jobs worth applying for which my current work experience was relevant to, looked up some sample resumes of others in the field and rewrote and reshaped my entire resume using these examples. Doing so made me feel so much more confident in the skills I do have and more comfortable in applying for jobs. Lessons & tips:

How I did it: I sat down with a piece of paper and wrote out all of my information about the places I had worked, went to school, achievements, licenses, etc. Then, I used E-murse.com to put it together. I also did a google search to look for sample resumes. Read how I did it…

Resume to me sounds like the word resume. Since I just graduated from college, I want to create a better resume and apply at Mosaic (a place for developmentally challenged adults).
I hope I get the job. I plan on applying and submitting my resume tomorrow.
Mike feels like Sunday.
Well, all but lost it, that is. They put me on “stand by” through May, which means that if they find more work for me before the end of May they’ll ask me to come back. Otherwise, I get let go.
So I’ve got to dust off my resume, and get it updated. I’ve got a CV for work, but it’s really too detailed, and serves a different purpose. It’ll be a good starting place, though.
I stayed up all night to finish this up and get my resume to Amira before 8am this morning. Nothing like last-minute panic to push me to actually accomplish something.
Revised this the other day, as I had to in order to send it in with a grad school application. Just need to print it out!
... and I’ve still accomplished nothing toward this goal. I might have to go see Efrain today, but even if I do, I’ll stop at the cafe on the way back home and work on this for at least one hour.

I’m not going to be doing this for several weeks, so I’m putting this on the back burner.
... but an income is an important thing to have. This is a logical first step, but I’m really, really dreading working on it. On the bright side, it will feel great when I can mark it accomplished and make space on my list for something that’s more fun to work on.
I know that I need to clean my resume up, so on Monday I’m taking my laptop my local cafe and checking online for samples and/or current tips and guidelines on what people are looking for. On Tuesday I’ll check into career services at my university and see what they offer, and make further plans from there in order to have an updated, professional looking resume in hand by the end of the day Friday. No excuses.

This is essentially done and it has given me the opportunity to see where I need training.
I borrowed a section from a friends resume. I listed my PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT it provides me with an opportunity to show that I am improving my skills.
I even added and highlighted a project I am currently working on … highlighted it because it isn’t done yet … if need be I can remove it quickly. DONE!!!

Mere curiosity asks,
“Does anyone know of a good resume writer? My resume needs rewriting. Want to change fields, get out of the present one and move to something I really want to do.”
