How to update my resume
It made me
feel confident
 "Updating and rewriting my resume made me feel so much more confident in the skills I do have and more comfortable in applying for jobs."
How I did it: I read a great article about how to write a great resume and implemented some ideas I'd taken from it. I found a few jobs worth applying for which my current work experience was relevant to, looked up some sample resumes of others in the field and rewrote and reshaped my entire resume using these examples. Doing so made me feel so much more confident in the skills I do have and more comfortable in applying for jobs. Lessons & tips:

How I did it: I'm taking a "technical writing for health professions" class, and our first assignment was a resume and cover letter [for an actual job we wanted]. Our professor went over ways to make your resume look and sound good without lying, bragging, or just making crap up. i started this today. i have been trying to remember where i have worked and looking up addresses. i started writing them down in pencil. i used to have a resume, but it seems that it is long gone. i could always ask h.r. for a copy of my resume, but i don’t want stuff to seem fishy to my workplace.

Well I haven’t managed to update my resume yet. It needs a complete overhaul. Since my last job hunt in 07 I’ve: changed positions/been promoted twice, added about a half dozed committee appointments and other service, taken a contract (2nd)job, and shifted into a new field.
The best I am shooting for this month is coming up with a running tally of projects and committees

Resume to me sounds like the word resume. Since I just graduated from college, I want to create a better resume and apply at Mosaic (a place for developmentally challenged adults).
I hope I get the job. I plan on applying and submitting my resume tomorrow.
