Okay, it wasn’t really the Carribean. But it was awesome!

Not only did I swim in the ocean (on a lovely blue-sky day; the waves were playful and fun), but I also swam in the ocean right after a storm, which is creepy as hell and certainly not recommended by me. It took me about an hour to get used to the push and pull of the water, leaping with the waves to avoid getting knocked over, and how far you need to stand from the waves (especially when they make a wall of water – don’t try to stand your ground, you won’t make it!)

I did get bit by flies and battered about and got water up my nose, but it was awesome and I’d do it again. :) 8 months ago
