buy an air conditioner

The refrigeration/electrician came today and installed the airconditioner. Everything went well and we are very happy. So I will write this goal off as completed on the 29/08/2008.

We spent this morning clearing a space for the outside unit of the airconditioner to be placed in. It should now just be a matter of the installation to occur on Tuesday.

We have organised an electrician to install our airconditioner for Tuesday. Fortunately, it is only a small room airconditioner otherwise it would need council approval and would be further delayed. Hoprefully the present rain will clear.

I just need to get a hold of my landlord because he has to be here while I install it. sigh :)

We are in the process of purchaser and having an airconditioner installed. We intend to use it just for really hot days for our new baby. We would not want to see him get distressed on these days. We are mindful of minimising the use of the airconditioner due to environmental reasons.

After the utility company’s no-interest loan program told me to F off, I managed to get a ‘scratch-n-dent’ left over 4 ton condenser and coil for a really really good price. After the AC guys installed them and left, I cranked it down to 70 and left to run some errands. My roommate, who had been sleeping, texted me with “Damn! It’s 58 degrees in my room!” Mission accomplished.
