joyfully clear out the clutter from our home

Today I got rid of a load of recycling to the recycling center, including the old toilet. Feels great to get that out of the yard! I also drove with 3 bags of books an old guitar to the local thrift store. so happy!

17 old rims (taken from the old tires we got rid of) plus a bunc of old tin cans that I had for storage in the kitchen. Felt great!

Today I drove to the recycling center with first the old stove and then the old freezer. I also got rid of some old cushions and old brokoen luggage. What a great feeling!

hours organizing in my library today. I’m sorting the book s and moving them. And each time I pick up a book, I ask myself how I feel about it. If I don’t love it or feel how helpful it is, then it goes into the get rid of pile, which is still growing.

a few hours sorting and organizing my bookshelves in my library yesterday. I got 4 shelves looking very nice, and have quite a few to continue organizing. I also sorted about 2 boxes of book s that I gave to my oldest osn to sell or give away.

little bit of sorting old toys together with my youngest son. He’s really good about sorting the ones he no longer wants. We make 3 piles… KEEP, THROW AWAY, SELL AT YARD SALE. Since my teenage son doesn’t want to hold a yard sale, my youngest son (with help from my oldest son) will hold his own yard sale in April. Now to keep sorting those toys, etc.

too much junk in the dining room at the moment, so I offered my 2 oldest sons that if they’ll help me clear out the junk there and make it look nice again, I’ll call and order 2 large pizzas from Da Boyz (our favorite pizza place here) when they’re done. maybe today…

slacking at this lately and really need to find time to do alot of decluttering again…

a bag of clothes ready to donate to the Goodwill. I can drop those off tomorrow. My closet looks much better.

has been cleaning in the yard, which feels great. Today he chopped down a dead lemon tree and planted a new tree instead. Wow! that corner of the yard looks so much better. I wouldn’t normally count a tree as clutter, but in this case a dead tree was cluttering up our yard. Now it’s gone.
