save 20%- 30% of my income

We live pretty modestly, despite a pretty major bump in circumstances about a year and a half ago. Until recently, we just used the slush cash- mainly on house items, tools, etc. I just can’t help thinking there is a smarter way to manage things- more planned, more organized. We have savings, but I think we can do a hell of a lot better, and damnit, I don’t want to be working in an office in 5 years, so I’ve been planning.

I set up a direct deposit on paydays to just move this money into savings- now all I have to do is not touch it, no matter how badly I want a reciprocating saw.
