I got some basics (that actually fit for once) at a great bargain at an outlet store. I also got a great purse and a blouse that is a little different from my normal style but is a step in the right direction. I am no where near a solid set of outfits yet, but I am getting there. Now if only I had more cash.

How I did it: Shopping is my addiction, so it was pretty easy. I got my best friends to come along and we went to the mall, ran all over town, etc. In total we spent over $1000 on clothing alone. I'm serious. I'm not even counting hats, jewelry, shoes, etc.We had a good time. It's nice to bring along friends so you can get some more opinions on what looks nice on you and what doesn't. How I did it: I went out and started to try on dozens of clothes. Anything I could get my hand on that seemed like me. Then I made notes as to what I can and cannot pull off. Sweaters make my tiny pudgy body look larger than it is, jeans will never fit me just right, and I have a large neck with very broad shoulders so dress shirts are difficult to fit. Read how I did it…

Bought a really nice top today. As my weight is gradually going down I need to replace items in my wardrobe. I am not quite size 12 yet so I will wait until I shed a few more kgs. But I did find a nice pair of size 14 pants at Portmans that would do for now though. Next pay I’m afraid!

Well, its not that its not happening, its just that I like what I already have. I know, such a guy thing to say is it not? Well, I am buying new clothes but slowly, one or two shirts a month. That way I can go through a phased approach.
