I’m satisfied with my abilities using rifles, but handguns are a lot more practical. I would like to own a handgun, but I’d like to learn to use one properly first!

It doesn’t matter if you never need to use the skill- You should just be able to use a handgun if you need to.
it’s not hard to learn at all- slightly harder than learning to use a can opener, slightly easier than learning to use a radio.
And it’s much better than being caught in a bad situation not knowing how to use one.
I took a Women on Target class last weekend and it was amazing. I’d love to get into competing in marksmanship, etc.
Definitely worth doing!
i had a hand gun for years that my dad gave me but never shot it, i lived alone in apartments and always planned on shooting someone if they broke in.. i kept it loaded.. but, i acctually tried to shoot the stupid thing this year w/ some friends and it didn’t even work!! so i gave it away.. i guess it’s a good thing no one ever broke in!!! but i would like to get a new one and acctually learn how to shoot it!!!!!!!!!!!!
I don’t have a specific reason for this, just want to be able, if the need ever arises, to be able to shoot properly and somewhat accurately. Never know when you need to head shot a zombie.
definetly an experience to learn to shoot a gun. I went to a shooting range. Very easy to do, but kind of expensive
is not so much about being attacked and not being able to defend myself… but about being that girl, in TV movies, who is caught in the middle of a fight between two men, and the good guy knocks the bad guy’s gun out of his hand, and the girl grabs it… and she yells:
“WHAT DO I DO?”
ugh.
