be a published photographer

I’ve updated my website http://www.ryan-gluesing.com/travel with a bunch of pictures of Northern California. So many pictures, so little time – and I keep taking more. Of course, my best are in my flickr site. I think this type of situation kind of meets my goal of being published, but I would like to know my work is being enjoyed by many by being put in a magazine or something. I’m not looking for royalties, just a little recognition (“I just want to be loved, is that so wrong?”). I’m still proud of the fact that anytime someone sees some of my photos they’re amazed with how good they are – one of my friends has a print of my work framed.

I had a set of little books of 24 of my favorite photos made up for Christmas gifts this year. They look pretty nice! I was going to do calendars but they cost too much. All the pictures I used for the book came from my portfolio on my website in the photos section (obviously not all of those pictures got used). I could kind of consider this goal done, but I’d like to have something a bit more than just 24 pictures.
