Trying to go 15 min of cleaning, then 15 min of something else. So far that works really well. :) 3 years ago

Cleaned up yesterday, feels good to have a tidy place to live in and invited friend over, had trouble keeping it tidy during the week. 3 years ago
How I did it: I took a trip to the store with only my clean apartment in mind. I bought a cleaning tote and filled it with glass cleaner, multipurpose cleaner, a bottle of Comet, a bunch of spare rags, and a scrub brush for my bathroom. I also got a shoe organizer for my closet and three plastic drawers so that when I first walk in my apartment I have a place for everything to 'land'. Incoming mail, magazines, trash. I then dedicated a week to getting my apartment clean.
Monday I deep cleaned my kitchen. I threw out all the old expired foods in my refrigerator, then took everything else out and used multipurpose cleaner to make my refrigerator look like new. I cleaned my microwave, my stove, all my counters, and used pledge to clean the front of all my cabinets.
Tuesday was my day off so I took the entire day to do all the laundry in my house. I donated all of the clothing that was too small or outdated and threw away anything that was beyond repair.
Wednesday I cleaned my living room by moving all of my furniture and rugs and cleaning my hardwood floors. I also vacuumed out the inside of my couch.
Thursday I did my bathroom, including the toilet and the shower.
Friday I tackled the hardest room, my bedroom where all the junk in my house tends to accumulate. I spent some more time cleaning and organizing my closet. I washed all my bed linens.
To keep it clean, I do one load of laundry a day and then spend twenty minutes touching up anything that needs it and depending on what day of the week it is, I'll do one deep cleaning task. For example, every Thursday I clean my toilet.
