alright so i continue off the last post, they wouldn’t pick up my boxes. I had like 8 or something and then only pick up 10 or more (something like that). i tried calling around to all the charity places with no luck so i finally posted everything up on craigslist. i had a few people offer to drop them off to goodwill/sav. army/etc. so within a week or two a few people had come by, taken what they liked and others brought the remaining to the charities for me. that worked out well. the reason i choose to check this one off now is because i finally accepted that i needed to give away my old clothes (by old i mean bought awhile ago but a lot were never worn). my sister and little cousin came by and had a field day going through it all (i got a new job so accepted that if i can ever fit into that size again i’ll buy myself new clothes rather than hording years worth of clothes that don’t fit anymore). my sister left with a GIANT trash bag full and my cousin a small one. some shoes went out the door as well. my friend is coming by next to grab some more of it so i’ve officially accepted that everything in my closet will CURRENTLY fit lol. anything they don’t take is going to charity and since i just moved again i’m going through my stuff once more to see if there’s anything more i can add to my charity boxes. i got rid of a lot last time so i don’t think i’ll have much this time (i also don’t have that much “stuff” i have “things” that i use weekly so there isn’t much to go through) but i consider this goal complete between the last unload a year ago and the latest wardrobe overhaul which literally cut my wardrobe by about 60% (and some shoes lol) i’ll definitely do this again when i have more stuff i need to get rid of :)

soooo this used to be donate old clothes to charity but like the posts say, everything goes to my little sister and she likes my clothes so it’s not going to change soooooooo i changed it to donate unused items because right now i am going through allllllll my stuff and creating boxes of stuff for charity. i moved into my new apt 5 months ago and although i’m not a packrat in the slightest i came across so much stuff i don’t use that someone else could so i started making boxes (5 full ones right now). then my roommate moved out and in with her boyfriend who already had so much that she left a lot behind to go with the stuff i was donating (she put in a lot of clothes, gotta love the irony). so now we have about 7 full huge boxes of stuff to go to charity. on Tuesday i went up to my mom’s attic for a halloween costume and found about a half dozen tubs of stuff i put up there years ago and totally forgot about. i’m going to go through all of those next because i’m sure there is tons to donate in them. can’t wait to finish going through everything and be able to call up the salvation army and let them know i have a dozen boxes of stuff for them and be able to check this goal off! :)
everything i could donate ends up going to my little sister and by the time i’m ready to get rid of them they fit her perfect. i think this one might be a lost cause because whenever I get rid of stuff, they don’t make it out of my house.
I’ve been organizing peoples homes and storage and such on the side for extra cash and I got the last lady to donate 3 trash bags worth of clothes. Does that count? I’m the reason they will be going to charity…lol they just aren’t my clothes. All my clothes that don’t fit go to my little sister so I’m having a hard time having clothes left over since she likes all my stuff. So…does it count?
