read more comics

I always browse comics in bookstores but never buy them or read them.

I’ve read some Spiderman, Ghost World, Emily Strange, Life Sucks, Iron Man, Sin City, Heroes, just immature ones,

I want to get into more, start buying them, but I think if I start I wont stop, got enough books as it is. might read them in the shop or maybe not.

Brubaker and Ellis have been wrongfully neglected as of late.

Sadly, the comics side of my Axis o’ Geekery has always been lacking (see note). This has been remedied in later years with help from my sister, friends, and local library – I’ve been instructed in the ways of Michael Moore, giggled my way through the worst of Rob Liefield, and done a shameful vocal reading of a Punisher story that I’m SURE is gonna come back to bite me in the ass – but I want more.

I’m gonna start by downloading Cerebus. Any series that has an effect (or several, judging by the differing definitions) named after it should be worth a perusal.

In the meantime, lumping in manga with comics ‘cause I’m lazy, I need to finish…

I have read almost every good batman… I have a collection of graphic novels. It’s cool!

I read the first two graphic novels of J Michael Straczinski’s Rising Stars.
Also am still reading original comics on the web at LiveJournal.

I have always been interested in comics. I read a few when I was very young, some of my dads comics from years ago. He had Fantastic Four, Batman and Spiderman. AMAZING! But I was young and can’t remember them >< But David and Jonathan gave me some comics to read not long ago and all I can say was that I was amazed! It got me back into the feeling of reading comics when I was a child. Must buy myself loads!
