start my gift basket company

had a nut and candy company for years. She unexpectedly came by my office today to tell me my uncle is having surgery tomorrow. That should be okay but he will have to recuperate for 4 weeks.

They usually go to Mexico for the winter. This year it will be January before they go. We started talking about things here and I told her about my gift basket company idea since she had a similar business. She was delighted to hear about my ideas and told me to contact a company in Colorado…I could be a distributor for them and then I wouldn’t have the overhead of packaging products, etc.

She has signed a 5 year non-compete with the people she sold her company. It has been 3 years so she couldn’t actively be involved. However, maybe she could be my advisor/mentor.

I’m not a lawyer so I don’t know. We’ll have to check on that.

Whole generations have been born and died since B and I had this idea in 1996. I was not ready to follow through on anything new at that time. I was wallowing around in sadness.

Yesterday for a kick I checked the domain name for our idea and it was available…just sitting there waiting for me to get my life together and finally have some fun with an idea.

No saving the world…just fun… plain and simple.
