is now over and done with. Could have been better, could have been worse. I went into it having taken two cold and ‘flu tablets, half a bottle of cough medicine, nasal spray and smelling overpoweringly of Vicks. So, taking things in context, I’m going to call it a success.
Round two, now. I’m going to start studying for this one on Tuesday this week.

I’m still struggling with a sickness that just won’t leave me. The bronchitis is back. I just need to make it through the next three days, balancing taking it easy with being productive, study-wise (perfect solution: bed study!).
The first step is to get myself wrapped up warm and go out to get antibiotics. Actually, no, the first step is to get myself breakfasted. Then the antibiotics.
I’ve made a list of what I want to accomplish today. It’ll take me four hours to get the minimum done – anything more would be a real bonus. But balance, yes?
I’m promising myself that, when this exam is over, I’m taking a week off. A whole week to do nothing but exactly what I want to do. I’ve got a pedicure to get and a gift voucher to spend, so I shall treat myself then.
Three days. I can definitely do that.

I love it when you add a goal, assuming that it’s completely original, only to see that (in this case), 37 other people also want to do it!
I have two exams this trimester, and they are both spaced very conveniently far apart. I’m not really sure how to approach the study for either of them. I think I won’t even start studying for the second until the first is over – the first one is double-weighted towards my Honours average: bear this in mind if you’re tempted to slack off, C.
It’s slightly difficult incorporating study into the idea of a “meet the family” holiday with your boyfriend, but I can definitely manage. I just need some self-imposed deadlines. So:
- by end of today: complete general section on leases.
Also, get paper and multicoloured pens to create essential flowcharts. - 20th: assignments and leashold covenants.
- 21st: freehold covenants. Begin formulating all notes into exam-ready format.
That’s enough to make a start.

..My exams are ridiculous, and I have to work every night so I can afford to be here. There isn’t enough time in the day, and I don’t have enough energy. I would love to have this atleast be manageable.
