catalog my book collection

I can’t believe I finished cataloging my book collection. I started the bulk of it last night and finished just now. I did decide though that I have quite a few books that I haven’t read and shouldn’t probably buy anymore until I get through a nice chunk of them. And truly, I haven’t bought books in a long time, what with trying to save money. The next goal is to get them in some format on my website. I’ll tackle that next…maybe tomorrow evening if I’m not sewing.

I just bought some software to catalog my books. I have two large bookshelves full of books and one small one of cookbooks (we like to cook). This is even after we’ve culled our collection of duplicates, old textbooks and just general books that we don’t want by placing them for sale on Amazon. I’ve gotten three shelves done and I hope to get the whole collection cataloged soon so I can XML it onto my blog. I also want to keep a list of the books in there that I still need to read…yes I actually buy books while I still have some to read.
