My family went to Egypt a few years back and i missed out on the chance. I regret this everytime i think about it! They went on the half and half nile cruise. Seven days on the nile with excursions every day then three days luxor, two days cairo (something like that).
I went to see the tutankhamun exhibition in London a few months back and the first piece you see is a statue. On the back of the statue you can clearly see the hieroglyphics that was carved thousands of years ago. That to me was worth the trip right there!
Alas, i crave more and i want to see Egypt in all its glory. being a student i cant see that happening anytime soon but one day, who knows :)
