I’m gonna put this on the shelf for now… I have something of a philosophy, but it’s still in development 2 years ago
Ever since I stopped buying Christianity, and even before then, I’ve struggled to find a real sense of purpose for my life. I really feel like a need some sort of central belief to ground myself and guide my life, but nothing has really struck me so far. Sure, wanting to have a positive impact and help people in someway is a good starting point, so how come I can’t really get behind it? I don’t feel all that motivated. Basically I’ve been feeling pretty apathetic for a good while, which is not leading me anywhere. It’s just hard to break out of this mindset.
All I want to do is fall in love, as if that will take care of everything, which of course is foolish thinking, but that seems to be the way I feel.
I find it hard to maintain a positive outlook when I don’t believe there’s a higher power looking out for us that’s going to make sure everything works out in the end. I kind of feel like this life may be all there is, and it isn’t that great. 3 years ago
