I own this series (yay for me)! And I’ve read three of them two or three times a piece. The fourth one I’ve read once. And now “Heaven’s Net is Wide” sits patiently on my shelf awaiting my adoring eyes. I’ll get to it. I’ve got a long queue of books to read. That will probably be one of the best, but I promise not to save it for the very last! ;D

And I have to say that I consider Across the Nightingale Floor to be one of my best reads of last year.

Across the Nightingale Floor: Otori Shigeru rescues Tomasu from the Tohan and he has a very special purpose for his adopted heir.

Grass for his Pillow: Takeo, once Tomasu of the Hidden, must now fulfill his promise to the Tribe and become an assassin, but his longing for Kaede may send him back to the Otori.

Brilliance of the Moon: Kaede and Takeo’s future is uncertain and he must face both enemies and allies to secure Shigeru’s original vengeance.

Harsh Cry of the Heron: sixteen years after the events of Brilliance of the Moon and the Three Kingdoms are stable and prosperous under the just rule of the Otori and his wife Shirakawa Kaede, also the ruler of Maruyama. But Takeo’s enemies have found an ally in an uneasy Emperor and his ambitious General and he is summoned to the Emperor’s court, leaving his country and family in jeopardy.

Heaven’s Net is Wide: The struggles of Otori Shigeru which take him to the path outside of Mino.

According to the Wikipedia page for the Tales a movie is planned and I am so EXCITED.
