I just ordered a bunch of electronics today to sustain my hobby of learning and playing with electronics. One of the things I ordered was a really nice solar panel that terminates into a barrel plug (think wall wart).
It’s rated at 8v and short circuit at 300ma. Those are pretty decent stats actually. With a voltage regulator and some filtering capacitors that means I could actually run some pretty interesting microcontroller configurations completely from the solar panel under good conditions.
