Beginner wanting to learn Gaelic

I’m a student about to start classes for audio engineering but I’m wanting to visit my family in Ireland and a lot of the people still speak Gaelic…So i’m trying my hardest to learn the language before I go that way I’ll at least be able to get by without having pay a translator
