I cried because I’m a pack rat and everything in my room means something but at the end of the day it all looked better and cleaner.

    Tired 21 months ago

Practically lived in my workplace for the past week or two. I have a bit more time now, so might as well clean up the whole place…. My bookshelves are so dusty I can see little shiny dust motes floating in the air.

    me too... 22 months ago

I have too many things lying about, it’s hard to open my closet with a light heart. And I don’t know if I can throw them out either! Who knows when I’d need the little computer parts/old lecture notes/journals/reports and etc etc. .. At least most of my clutter is in paper form, so it’s relatively easy to organize and put them in little marked boxes for possible future reference.

But I move around a lot, and jot down a lot, so the boxes are getting rather unwieldy. I should to something to get rid of some of the stuff… What to do what to do…

Have been keeping with the idea of letting go of one thing per day 22 months ago

Actually tackled the closet hard last night and cleared out far more than just one thing. Off to a good start. Finally seeing a dent.

I've decided to let at least one thing go per day 22 months ago

it might go to the trash – it might go to the buiding I live in (we place things downstairs on a shelf for others to take if they wish) it might go to charity…. but each day something will be purged one way or another. I will do this for one month. That ought to shed some clutter.

It has started with the closet and now moved to the office in my house 22 months ago

Last night I rearranged some furniture and cleared out the office. Of course now the spare room has crap to get rid of now that I moved some things that I didn’t know what to do with to there. I have a loveseat that is a hundred years old and a giant ugly wall unit to remove. From the walk-in closet I have removed junk and old clothes but am far from being done there. I have accumulated so much that I do not need or use. So much clutter to de-clutter.

finally, some time to myself 22 months ago

today is my last day at the office. i am taking a month off to do all the things I want to do, but never have the time, which makes 43T great! First thing: de-clutter the apartment!

yay for www.freecycle.org 23 months ago

I posted a few things last night and as of this afternoon I’ve had two takers and four boxes of stuff removed from the apartment.

    But Gaaaaaaaaaa…... it’s endless….....

    Back to the trenches.
