jetmoore is wondering what thing will be crossed of the list first.
I host a monthly writer’s gathering. We share food and talk and laugh a lot. One of the writer’s started hosting one at her house.
I realize the writers get me. But it leaves my husband out. So I’m wondering if we can start inviting more people over for dinner. Maybe just once a month. It would be a start.

HallieBaby needs to spend less time setting goals and more time achieving them
I am giving up. I just don’t feel the need to do this any more! I don’t know why. It still appeals but I guess I just don’t have time to do it. :)

I’ll be moving out of corporate housing and into my very own apartment and getting my stuff out of storage this month! Then I can really get down to business.

YES! This goes with my goals of keeping my house tidy and cooking for myself more. I used to have regular dinner parties the last time I lived alone, and we’d rotate homes and menus, but everyone would contribute. I want to do that again.

It’s my friend Yukako’s birthday, and I promised her a “traditional American birthday party”. Unfortunately, the more I think about it, the less sure I am about what that means, particularly for someone in their 30’s. Arrrrgh! Menu ideas, anyone?

This was suggested by a friend and it sounds like fun.
This Friday night; 5 couples will get together and walk from house to house for dinner. We’ll start with appetizers, then go to soup, salad, main course, and dessert. My job is the salad. AND we’re serving wine with each course.
FUN!

I did manage to find a date and time when 5 of us could get together for our occasional w(h)ine night.

does it count to say I’ve been thinking about it?
What constitutes a dinner party. Does it have to be fancy tablecloth and china or can it be friends over and having a good time. I’d like to do both.
The friends over thing though .. what do you do after the whole meal thing. Our basement is not finished so we’re stuck with a living room. Movies sound boring and whats the point of inviting someone if you’re gonna sit there and watch tv.
Am I the only one who thinks about these things????? lol

As soon as I finish my patio project, this will begin (hopefully).
