32. Fahrenheit 451 (Bradbury)
31. Never Let Me Go (Ishiguro)
It seemed appropriate to read “Fahrenheit 451” as my final book, since it’s about burning books…
This is definitely the most I’ve ever read in one year, and it was well worth it. Right now, I’m not setting any goals for myself for next year, but I plan on reading a lot and seeing how far I go. 4 years ago

33/30
Since today is the 30th and I have a lot of plans between now and 2009, I think it’s safe to say this is the end of the list for this year. I reached 30 books plus a couple though, so hooray for me. Things got pretty busy the past couple months, and I didn’t read at all for about a month up until the past couple nights. I’m ready to get back into some books and start on a whole new list for next year! 4 years ago

this was a good book…but not as amazing as i thought it would be given all the hype about it. parts of it were really interesting however, and i really liked the india section even though i’m not really a religious person. 4 years ago

Okay so I realize it’s a little late in the year to start this goal, but recently I’ve gotten into reading and decided to start this goal. This is what I have so far:
1. The Perks of Being a Wallflower – Stephen Chbosky
2. Murder On The Orient Express – Agatha Christie
3. Twilight – Stephenie Meyer
4. New Moon – Stephenie Meyer
5. Eclipse – Stephenie Meyer
6. What I’d Say To The Martians And Other Veiled Threats – Jack Handey
7. The Godfather – Mario Puzo
8. Breaking Dawn – Stephenie Meyer
9. Invisible Monsters – Chuck Palahniuk
10. Choke – Chuck Palahniuk
To be honest, all of these books are a really good read, minus The Perks of Being a Wallflower, which was completely terrible and totally cliche. Jack Handey is always great if you want a good laugh, I hope to read more of his books soon. 4 years ago

The beginning was great, amazing even, got REALLY slow in the middle, but got all better at the end. Overall it gets my stamp of approval… but it still needed some editing. 4 years ago

so instead of individual posts, I’ll just list the ones I’ve read since the last post. I don’t remember the exact order-
- Welcome to the Monkey House
- The Pact
- Crashing Through
- A Wolf at the Table
- Misty
- Star
A Wolf at the Table
I wasn’t sure I was going to like this one at first, but in the end, I did. It’s not a bad book, but of all Burroughs’ books, this was not one of my top favorites, and I hope there will be a lot more. I’m sad I don’t have anything left of his to read now.
Crashing Through
Not what I expected from the start. I thought it would start off with some guy who found out about a surgery or something that would cure his blindness, he would jump at the chance, and you would spend the whole book reading about the experience and his views during and after. Instead, it’s more a story about a blind man who’s more content and accomplished than most sighted people are with their own lives. It’s amazing how much a person can do without being able to see anything at all. So, does he ever have any corrective surgery, does it work, does it last, is he happy? You’ll have to read it for yourself! :)
