essay: poets advocate for peace now
We have tried violence, we have tried all forms of aggression but the nuclear and chemical, as far as I know
Why not give peace another chance?
If diplomats at high levels have not done their job, for whatever reasons, might not 1 else give peace a try??
I am not saying who that might be, but as bad as things are, maybe with the added education, training, skills many of us on all sides of a conflict have, we can begin to approach each other to discuss how to solve conflict, to resolve problems with constructive and sound time honoured and proven methods used in business and industry.
Here is a witness from John Tarik Walker:
“this probably sounds crazy, but lately I have been feeling called to share in the form of prophesy
— No no don’t get me wrong. I am not hearing voices. I am not seeing burning bushes, or glowing angels in the air.
But some thing is happening.
The call or vocation I am feeling is to issue a call to all for peace, for a cessation of violence, for a meeting of minds in an atmosphere of respect and tolerance, of hope and vision for a better global community.
So, tentatively, with caution & respect to all, let me ask you each of you first, to think clearly, to pray now.
