god i love that song. if i do recall correctly aside from the Beatles’ “michelle” (because lets face it- everyone knows the beatles. and when youre stuck with a name like mine… yes, michelle. you’re going to hear that song at least a trillion times in your lifetime) i do believe “strawberry fields forever” was the first Beatles song i had ever heard. giving it a special place in my heart, well, forever. and as i was quite young when i heard it, it painted a magical image in my head, of love, of life… of just imagination and wonder.
i had no idea that strawberry fields, in central park of new york city even existed until recently, when it was brought up casually in conversation, as if i was the only human being left on earth that didnt know of its creation. symbolism means alot to me… and going there, being there in a place that forever symbolizes that song, and that man…. i couldnt contain my excitement. i dream about it at night. and he will to be right there with me.
