Joyx3Perfect pair, where are you??

I find myself staring at everyone’s jeans. How do they fit? Do they have the same body type as me? You see, my jeans are always sagging down. They never stay up. Does that mean they’re too big? Am I just wearing the wrong fit?? Ugh! I hate jean shopping – so hard.

I’ve noticed a few women wearing CUTE pairs when I’m out running errands and I want to run up to them and ask them where they bought their jeans. Is that crazy?!?? 3 weeks ago

Ru ~ dig deeper1969 sexy boot

Success! An unanticipated success too…

I’d poked around a little bit online (reading things like Find the Perfect Jeans For Your Body Type and Most Comfortable Jeans, etc) and had a good idea of what I was looking for, then yesterday we stopped off at VV to search out a few Halloween pieces for the kids, and I happened to meander down the jeans aisle and found one of the very pairs I’d been keen on (1969 sexy boot jeans), brand new, same style, wash, etc., tried them on, and they fit beautifully. Shocked.

Not only do I now have a nice pair of jeans, I picked them up for $12. Cute and comfortable – I’m feeling a bit ear to ear grinny here. Onto the next staple! 4 months ago

Jeans – an obvious staple, and one I don’t currently have in any satisfactory capacity, much less approaching “perfect”. I’m actually hoping to embark on a staple replacement quest, since I’ve fallen into a mommy clothing rut and really want to pull myself out. I thought a great pair of jeans would be the ideal place to start.

5 years ago I had this goal and made do with a pair a friend bought for me – I liked them and wore them to death. This time I want to go out and really nail it. I’m within a few pounds of my goal weight (this was another carrot for me) so I want to start looking now.

I’m thinking basic but not boring, dark wash, dress up or down, boot cut? I went out and tried several pairs on yesterday, but nothing struck me as buy, wear, and love worthy. Maybe I’ll actually talk to one of the helpful jeans poohbahs. That’s their job, yes? I’m not aiming to serve muffins or descend into that (still unknown, fortunately) land of “mom jeans” – I want to feel good in what I wear again. Is there a patron saint of denim? 4 months ago
