How I did it: Shopped and shopped. Tried on every style, every brand, every size. Had to settle so often for less than perfect jeans. Spent many a days lying on the bed, sucking in my stomach, and holding my breathe just to get some zippers up. Lessons & tips: If you find the perfect jeans buy more than one pair.

What was perfect in my 20s is not perfect now. Actually, I may have the perfect pair of jeans for me right now. I just bought 2 pairs of black jeans a couple weeks ago, and got 2 compliments on Friday, people asking me where did I get my jeans? They’re comfortable, look good (I think), and are black black black! If I can wear jeans to work and to ride horseback, they’re perfect.
So Frustrating!

I have always wanted to find the perfect pair of jeans! I have jeans that are just about perfect but not quite enough. I guess I just need to keep looking and not give up. I can do this!

My problem is that my thighs are wider than my hips.My hips are wide but every time a pair of jeans fits me there my thighs become a problem.
My torso is bigger than my legs.I have really short legs which worsens the problem I have.

Well, not sure if they’re perfect but I really really like them – Bluenotes with back flap pockets. They’re boot cut with a slightly relaxed fit in the thighs. I liked them so much that when they started to get too big I went and bought a new pair in the next size down and I’ll probably do it again this week, with a smaller size. I just love them.
Who knew jeans could make me so happy?
