I read “Alice in wonderland & through the looking glass” just this summer. I have “the scarlett letter” and “the catcher in the rye” at home to read. I also have in mind to read Don Quixote.

Wuthering Heights – by: Emily Bronte
Good story; can see why it’s a classic; a little difficult to follow in the beginning because of the language (I’m used to easy reads), but I got the hang of it early on and was able to keep up
OVERALL- I really liked the book, but it didn’t quite live up to my expectations. That sounds terrible; I know. It just didn’t quite portray the out-of-this-world love story I thought it would.
I’ve always loved to read. Mostly, I tend to read whatever is of a particular interest to me at a given time. I’d like to become a more well-read person by reading more classics. I’m compiling a list of 50 classic novels that I’ve always wanted to read and promised myself that I would, at least, alternate my readings. Some of the books listed may not necessarily be considered a classic. The list is as follows…
1. Wuthering Heights
2. Romeo and Julie
3. Lord of the Flies
4. Pride and Prejudice
5. Madame Bovary
6. Anna Karenina
7. Lolita
8. The Great Gatsby
9. The Lord of the Rings
10. The Catcher and the Rye
11. Jane Eyre
12. A Tale of Two Cities
13. The Chronicles of Narnia
14. Memoirs of a Geisha
15. Little Women
16. Dracula
17. Anne of Green Gables
18. Persuasion
19. Watership Down
20. Frankenstein
21. The Sun Also Rises
22. Moby Dick
23. Gone with the Wind
24. One Hundred Years of Solitude
25. The Picture of Dorean Gray
26. The Grapes of Wrath
27. The Swiss Family Robinson
28. 1984
29. The Diary of Anne Frank
30. Lady Chatterly’s Lover
I love to read but I always seem to seek out non-fiction. I decided that I want to read some of the classic novels that I’ve been hearing about my entire life. I think I’ll start with The Catcher In the Rye.
