I am fed up with how I look and how I feel. My stomach is hanging out of my body and I look downright dumpy!
I’m tired of wearing the same old clothes because I can’t buy clothes in stores. Specialty stores cost a lot and the designs are sometimes hideous.
I hate avoiding the word fat. I hate feeling defensive when this word is said because I know I am.
I am angry at myself for letting me go this way! I’m angry that I let myself get affected by negative feelings from the people around me. I hate the pitying look older people give me – the mean remarks children say when they see “that fat lady.”
I want to lose 120 pounds by March 2011 in time for my daughter’s graduation. This is the best gift I can give to my daughter and myself. Good health!
I will reclaim my life and I will enjoy it to the fullest this time!

i want to lose the weight so that i can feel good about myself. im tired of going places with my thin friends and not having the confidence they have or the ability to wear the things i wanna wear. also, i need to lose the weight for health reasons. i would like to be able to go and by clothes that dont have a tag that reads XL on it… i would love to buy something that doesnt involve me shopping for maternity clothes and im not pregnant.

Probably sounds strange, and hypocritical, coming from someone who wrote a book lambasting the diet industry—and you’re right, really. I reserve the right to change my mind. Life in a 280 pound body is painful and uncomfortable, and in my current state of health I’m unable to do the things I want to do. There’s a lot more behind my fat than just fat; there are years of emotional issues I’m slowly working my way through. Just losing weight won’t accomplish that and it won’t give me a perfect life, but it’ll help me dance more gracefully through the one I’ve got.

I started on my new low carb way of life on Jan 21st 2009. My starting weight that day was 302.5 lbs after 13wks I am down to 266lbs! Thats an incredible 36lbs!!! My goal weight is anywhere between 180-190lbs. My advice to anyone is to investigate low carb eating and really making it your way of life. I only did it because of other health issues that put it in my face and said you do this or you are going to be diabetic! So I did for that reason but now with such great weight loss results I know this is the best diet I have ever tried. By the way I haven’t added any exercise into my life yet. I will eventually, but right now I want to make sure I have my way of eating down pat and second nature.

Hello i am eduardo i was to heavy when i was 19 i weighed 240 pounds but now i weigh 160 something like that but i would love to be fitter than i am so i would love to know how i can be completely fit because i would love to weigh 120 to 140 so i have been trying to lose pounds but i don’t know what had happened because i had been losing 5 pounds per mounth but suddenlyi didn’t keep losing pounds i don’t know why because i am still doing excersice and having a diet so i think that i have to go with a doctor am i right, because i haven’t lost pounds of y body since 8 months ago so i would love you to give some advice or what cani do please address me as soon as you can and let me know what way i must take

I have already lost 200 pounds. I want to lose 120 more. The way I did it was by changing my diet. No operation or no gimmicks. I just eat right,exercise,and drink LOTS of water.
