Learn to shoot a bow and arrow

My husband shoots in archery leagues and is an avid hunter. I alwasy wanted to learn because it looks like so much fun. When my oldest son outgrew his bow, my husband set it up for me to use. Now I just have to build up enough upper-body strength up to pull the thing back.

I brought the idea up to my father a couple weeks ago that I wanted to learn how to use a bow and arrow. Not really to hunt, but to have the skill. Well, for my 24 birthday, he got me an early gift. Now, I have a hunting bow and practice arrows. Now all I have to figure out is how to go about doing this and not shoot the dog in the process…

There is an archery club near where my mom stays, so I have to go in there sometime (as I’ve been meaning to for the past 4 years) and ask them how much the fees are per month…I also need to find out how much a Bow & Arrow costs, and I don’t think it will be cheap.

I think this is so sexy!

Well I’m going to start!!!
At my age I want to accomblish something from start to a finish,whatever that may be!
I’ve contacted a Archery Instructor,lucky me he lives 7 miles down the road from my present address.
I do Search&Rescue in Texas so this will give me Zin(Ha)
I’ll keep all informed.

as a kid. Growing up in the middle of nowhere, you learn how to do all kinds of random things. This was one that I always thought was a bit more cool. And I was surprisingly good at it. Yet another talent that you can’t make any money from. LOL!

Is that the sound it would make?! Hmmm… maybe more of a PEEOWWN! Nah thats a pistol! Anyway, I’d like to do this! =)

Took a class, not as fun as it looks. Not fo rme but a good experience.

You just never know when this could come in handy…. with a keen eye, and steady hand, you could be the next “Robin Hood” in your neighborhood,... tights are optional….. and remenber an arm gaurd is worth it’s weight in gold !!! Trust me on this one.
