Spontaneously, while we were walking along the Thames, the friend I was with suggested we were going to go up – as we were only in London for the weekend. I’d never had much of an inclination to go and thought it was a waste of money, however he bought me a ticket and dragged me to the queue.
It was worth it. The view, atmosphere, everything was perfect, maybe made more so by the lack of planning and the company.
