Angus was always brewing hot water and asking us if we wanted tea. Sometimes he would even have the cup already made and just hand it to me. I was there for about six days, and got used to the tradition so much, that by the end of my stay there, I was offering to brew tea for everyone. It was really nice. It may take me awhile to drink this many kinds, but it will be a nice, leisurely goal. And it will be a cozy ritual to include my friends in. I have a coffee maker, and caffeine makes me pretty spazzy, so tea will be a good change. Maybe I’ll get one of those electric teapots that I saw in a couple of British kitchens. So here is what I currently have in my kitchen:
1. Rooibos Chai (drank it all already)
2. Double Ginseng
3. Organic Nettle Leaf
4. Ginger Honey Crystals (very hot and excellent for when a person is first coming down with a cold)
5. Rose Buds
6. Spearmint (cooling/therefore good for after the initial “cold” stage of a cold when a person gets a high fever and sore throat)
I also love Earl Grey and Kombucha w/Brown Rice. It’ll be fun shopping.
