"It was good, although most of my 'books' were academic. This year I'm going to try it with just fiction books."

How I did it: Always having my reading device around, so I can read whenever I'm bored. On the train, plane, waiting for pizza... They're all perfect times to read!

If there's one thing I can tell you NOT to do is wait till late at night to read, whatever the material. One - it doesn't stick. Second - you're too tired to read anyway. Well, in my opinion.

I'm doing this... 21 months ago

as last year I hardly read any books (I think the final count was 3). I’m having to kick myself back in order as I haven’t even started reading a book this month – so I’ve got 10 days to do it. I think it’s possible.

Another reason was after my uncle passed away he gave me many many books and I wanted to honour him by getting through every single one.

It’s better than watching TV I guess – although it will be difficult to make me stop watching the X-Files every afternoon!
