I’m working on a vacation to SF in July to see Chris Isaak. Really hoping it pans out.
Oh, whatever shall I do. When I graduate in August I want to have some sort of long distance excursion planned. Both a celebration of my accomplishments and new life, in addition to a new learning experience that will expand my perspectives.
My choices, in my mind right now, are: volunteer in a Latin American country for 2 weeks, go somewhere (hopefully that I haven’t been to)in the US with a friend, visit a friend in New York (a city I have visited but only briefly), or possibly convince a friend to save enough money to go to Europe (it would be a short and probably limited trip due to time and money; but i have not been anywhere in europe).
Of course, I have nothing saved for a vacation but maybe I’ll get some grad money and can pitch in the rest. And I have expenses such as rent to pay here for the time I am away.
If anyone reading this has any input, advice, or simply wants to encourage my dreaming, let me know. :-)
I’m going to graduate in August (yea me!) and I want to begin traveling shortly after. It has been forever since I had a vacation or traveled to somewhere new. I want the tiny travel where I leave in the morning and return at night and spend the day in a new city. And I want the big travel where I go to AL or Europe, or …
continue later.
Yup, I am definitely excited about my trip to Cali this spring. I think we’ll enjoy it more now that we’re adult and can actually drive heh heh.
Plus, it’ll count for my vacation for the year – making this the third year in a row I’ve gone on vacation; therefore making that enough to check this goal off. :-)
I was thinking of Paris – a round trip ticket is REALLY not as bad as you’d think, totally affordable for me – however lodging would cost, as well as food and all that other good stuff. My favorite kind of vacations are cheap ones haha.
So this year’s vacay is potentially going to be for me and my long time friend’s (going on 18 years) 23rd birthdays. Her’s in April and mine is in May so we will probably go somewhere at the beginning of the summer.
Anyways, her uncle lives in Cali, and the summer before our 9th grade year we took a trip to visit him (my very first plane ride!). Then for our senior trip, me and her took a road trip to Florida to visit her mom. So we decided it’s due time for another trip.
Free lodging? Heck yah! We have yet to work out any details, but besides deciding when to go and getting the ticket, all I need to worry about is a new bathing suit. ;-)
Hopefully this will work out. We always have a great time together and there’s something special about saying you’ve been friends with somebody since you were 5.
It’s so nice just having a change in pace. It is also something amazing to look forward to if your life is a little humdrum.
I’ve gone on a cruise the past two years… one more year, and it will be ritual!
I’ve traveled every summer for the past 4 years, but that was for work purposes, not so much vacation!
This used to be a given. Since I went back to school full-time I’m not sure I’ve been on a vacation at all. It’s been over 2 years since I went anywhere outside of the state. One more year until I graduate so lets hope that changes!
