I’m well on my way with this goal, I’ve been climbing a few times with a friend I know who climbs and officially got the climbing bug. Im looking at joining a climbing club in the next few weeks, just so I can build up some experience. So far I’ve only climbed indoors and I’m wanted t get out in t the fresh air!!

I have done this when I was younger but never took it up again, so I have decided to pick it up again, just need to get my fitness up and i’m ready to go….i think
I spent a few years in Colorado and a big part of the whole Colorado/Rocky Mountain experience (in my opinion) is rock climbing. I only went 3 or 4 times but it was such a fantastic experience each time that I would recommend it to anyone. It is such a mind-clearing, adrenaline inducing thrill that anyone would be glad that they did it. Of course, keep safety in mind.
Found a place for courses, Im going t ring them up and get an hour class for me and my brother see how this goes. Im pretty excited. Cant wait t do something abit different and something I want t do!
Had my first class this past Monday. I have begun a 4 month commitment to rock climbing so I will say my goal of “start rock climbing” is done.
Since I’m having trouble getting into a class this semester as well as having trouble finding climbing shoes I’m happy with, I’m gonna push this goal out. I’ve bumped up my skateboarding goal and this will also give me more time to concentrate on that as well as working on general fitness and my 5K running goals.
I’ve actually been rock climbing on multiple occasions, all but once in a local climbing gym. I’ve always rented or borrowed equipment however. This goal is really about me actually buying the equipment and committing to rock climbing on a routine basis and improving my technique. I’ve signed up for a rock climbing class this coming semester at UAH, but of course it’s full and I’m on a waiting list. We’ll see how things turn out. I know there is a regional climbing club and that may be my ticket.
