How to play trumpet

How I did it: when i was in the 5th grade the band director at my school ask everyone if they wanted to join the band and so i thought it would be cool to learn to play an instrument.The band director helped me pick out an instrument.the trumpet was the best one I could play.
once i got one i was able to play in the band. m band director taught me to read the music by playing note by note.then all i had to do was make a sound for a while nothing would come out but then one day a loud sound came out!!

I played in my youth and picked it up again not too long ago. I can still bust out a few scales but must confess to not remembering my sharps & flats very well…
